Steamboat Springs is a superb ski resort with a wide variety of runs of all difficulties. With two large supermarkets in the town a few km away, self-catering in the well equipped kitchen is easy. The free shuttle to the base of the lifts could not be more convenient- it leaves from your door and drops you off at the base village a short walk to the lifts and services. Take in the lovely view over the valley while relaxing in the comfortable lounge / dining area.

The town of Steamboat is nice but expensive and not really set up for vegetarians except for Mexican/ Asian restaurants. Dinner for a family of four at a decent sit down place is $100 at least. It's easy to get around on public transportation and if you stay at a place that offers it's own shuttle the convenience of getting to the resort increases.
The ski resort is excellent and if you're coming for the slopes I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The mountain is not groomed well and the trails are not marked well. The lift staff need more supervision in some places as they are not attentive and not directing traffic during crowded times. The mountain needs a bathroom facility at the top of Sunshine, Sundown and new gondola lifts.

I liked the proximity to ski lifts walking with skis & in ski boots or snowboards. I loved unit had bathtubs & full kitchen, even if you didnt want to cook. Makes it nice for breakfast or could stop for lunch. I loved the jacuzzis. Unit beds were great! Could stand different comforters or new blankets. But as a rental & a landlord myself understand why they had what they have, easy to wash & reuse.

A very walkable city, and still with free mass transit if you want it. Lots of very good food options, and unlike the mountain itself, everything was open. The Mountain is pretty much completely shut down, with few restaurants or shops even open.
